Meet the MCW Consulting Team
Marie West:
Since 1979 Marie has been involved in IT within small, medium and large organisations. She was a major player in the introduction of the first computerised ordering and stock replenishment system in PACT International (the domestic supplies division of RS Components) taking the company from a hand driven “Adreena” system to Wang MVP driven system.
From there Marie moved to British Telecom Test Environment Manager where she oversaw and managed the building of new testing platforms for BTs major customer service systems. Whilst at BT Marie also oversaw the introduction of the testing platforms for the National Code Change in 1996.
In 1997 Marie was headhunted by a specific IT agency and subsequently moved to another Blue Chip organisation, British Gas where she undertook similar responsibilities to those at BT but this time focussing on British Gas’ One Stop Energy integration testing environments.
In 2000 Marie joined Travelodge Hotels where she stayed for 10 years as Senior Business Support Analyst where her roles included vetting, selecting and managing third party suppliers and managing their performance in line with their individual Service Level Agreements.
However the most significant area of responsibility was to manage the IT Processes around the growth of the Travelodge estate, ensuring that all IT functions within the new openings programme went smoothly and were streamlined to ensure the IT network and support functions were trouble free.
Marie is ITIL qualified to Foundation standard and she uses the ITIL principles on a day to day to day basis. She has strong organisational and analytical skills which allow her to assess situations and problems very quickly and provide both short and long term solutions.
She is a strong self motivator with high customer focussed skills and managerial experience from teams of 1 to 15.
